Yay sports pt. 2! :-)
Ok, this may be my all time fave dip & a hit on the blog! I’ve been making this for yearsssss (one of my brothers favorite dips that I make) and so very easy! Definitely make this if you’re going to a Super Bowl party or just for yourself.
Ingredients (Serves 8-10)
8oz sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
1 small shallot, chopped
1, 8oz jumbo lump crab meat (grab from the seafood section at your local grocery store)
8oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayo (I love Dukes Mayo)
1, 4oz small jar pimentos, drained
1-2 teaspoons dijon mustard (adds a nice tang to the dip!)
1/2- 1 teaspoon of old bay
kosher salt & fresh cracked pepper to taste
garnish: green onions, cut on a bias
ritz crackers for dipping & scooping
Tools
small cast iron or oven safe baking dish
prep mixing bowls
spatula or wooden spoon
box grater
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Combine all ingredients together in a prep bowl & taste to adjust seasonings.
Transfer to a cast iron or baking dish & bake in oven until bubbly, about 25-30 minutes and garnish with green onions. Enjoy all the scoops!
