what's a substitute for turkey gravy if i'm not cooking a turkey?

Even if you are making a chicken gravy please use that, a store bought gravy is fine as well. It needs to be moistened with a liquid! Hope that helps ♥️

Top TIER!!! Here in 2025 and just made this for my family’s Thanksgiving get together. It was amazing! Even the people that “don’t like dressing” 🙄 went back for seconds! I had to stop myself from eating all the cornbread before I made it. (Did this recipe x3 for my fam of 16)

We also don’t put meat in the dressing so I added the flavors of the sausage instead (a little hickory smoke, maple syrup and MSG) Made a small one on the side with the oysters just to taste and it was incredible! Thank you SO much for this recipe!

Try to avoid anything that has extra preservatives in it just honey should be the main ingredient nothing else!
