The mac n cheese is crucial for Thanksgiving and no unpopular opinion but it goes right next to the sweet potatoes!
I’ve used this recipe for years and it’s a mix between my mom’s tried & true recipe (we’ve upgraded from velveeta lol), The Kitchenista’s cheese combo and learnings from all the years of making mac n cheese. Every year I make this, it’s just a special treat!
The base of this mac n cheese is a bechamel sauce (a base) which then turns into a cheese sauce. To me, that is the best way to make mac n cheese!!!

Hot saucie tip: PLEASE, PLEASE SHRED YOUR CHEESE! The pre-shredded cheese has a film (anti-caking ingredient) on it so it makes the cheese hard to melt aka has a preservative on it!
